Thursday Aug 3. 1916

Another nice day in London. Sir Roger Casement is to be executed this morning, unless he gets a reprieve which is unlikely. He is in Pentonville Prison. Later. He was executed this morning at 9. O'Clock and the crowd outside cheered.

I was at Trafalgar Square this morning and from these to Hyde Park and the Marble Arch. They are very interesting place. Rotten Row is where the aristocracy go for their morning ride. It borders the Park. I was at he British Museum but was not inside as it is closed in war time. We are to go back to Lark Hill Salisbury Plains tonight by the 9 train. I am waiting for it now. We left Waterloo Station about 10 and reached Amesbury about 12.30. Marched out to the Lark Hill Camp and got into bed at 2 O'Clock.

Friday Aug 4.1916.

A dull cloudy day, warm at noon. I am back at the old job of stoking the hot water boiler. It is nice cosy job. I [Short hand not transcribed]
