Going through gas

At 9 A.M. the men who have reached their 10th week of training fall in & are issued with P.H. gas helmets & a pr  of  rubber-sponge lined glasses. (These are for use in the Tear Gas chamber).   We march to the gas chamber, about  ¼ mile from the Camp & await our turn to go through the two gas tests, Chlorine & Tear gas.   (The former is the more important as it is the gas, or rather, one of the gasses used by the Germans on our men in France.
