Dec. 28, Mon.
Exercise this morning. This afternoon we took the horses in a northerly direction towards a native village & burial ground. The navitives there were particularly dirty & ugly. We scrambled a few coins amongst them much to their delight. This evening a few of our boys including myself went into Cairo. J. Boyd and I also had more spagetti & after thoroughly celebrating we came home, of course
