At 1 p.m. we reached Cairo. After we got all the horses out of the train, the Egyptian Gov. gave us all a roll of bread, cheese & cocoa. We watered horses at the barracks & then moved off on foot to the Camp at Mena near the Pyramids, a distance of 10 miles, terribly tired but interesting nevertheless. We have now
