up & rode out for the first time since we left B'Meadows. This evening B. Davis & myself went into Cairo. Had our dinner at the Bristol Hotel waited on by Arab. Had a Great time. Cannot write it all down. Got back to Camp 1.30.
Dec. 15.
This morning we groomed our horses & this afternoon we out for a ride. Capt. Frank Melhuish, now Major Melhuish came over to see our horses as he is orderly Vet. I was real surprised to see him.
