Dec. 19th, Sat.
This morning we exercised & this afternoon I get off. Butlin & I went into Cairo. We had a bath at the Bristol, had our of the tea at one of the quantity of Cafès. The musicians played La [Poloma] Paloma for me. Everything in Cairo is really French, Salons, Drapers etc. We had a royal time, got a carriage
