Abstract
Prices of Preparing Copper for Coinage

Mr. Halliday says that the Expence of manufacturing Copper into Sheets & bringing it to the Place where it is to be used is £14.10. a Ton that the Price has not varied for many  ten years nor does he think it likely to vary, & that it may be reeld [reeled] & Cut into Fillets for 10s/  a Ton more.

Mr. Boulton says that the Price of Rolling Cake Copper into Fillets fit for halfpence & farthings is £14 a Ton but to Roll it in a manner fit for his Coinage will Cost £17.10.

Four or 5 months he says will be necessary for Erecting his machinery.  When that is done he Can in the during the first 3 months work halfpence & Farthings in due proportion at the Rate of 1000 Tons a year & afterwards at that of 1500.

Issue of Dollars
The bank Say their dollars are worth 5s.6d 10/16 Each.

Price of Silver
Mr. Boulton Shewd me a Letter in which his Correspondent in Wales tells him he can buy him some ounces of old Standard Plate at 6s/ an ounce & advises him to Close this bargain at once.

Chas. Wyatt new Bridge Street made a Tender for halfpence.

March 8
Mr. Boulton informd the Commee [Committee] that he believd the Cost of Casking Copper Coin would be about 18s/ a Ton & that £5 a Ton allowd for Coinage would in his Opinion be about the medium Price of Circulating them, Supposing Birmingham so central a Spot that the medium of coinage from thence would not be more than 100 mile
