My Dear James Your hasty note recvd [received] Sat [Saturday] Must be answered by another.
We were nigh pleased with Mr S[?] visit - I wrote to Geo [George] about Chars. [Charles] coming up but I have not as yet spoken [indecipherable] I think he might come at Thursday or Friday next - I sent to [?] to Mr Cartwright [?]. & near the services at the Parish Ground at which this [?] were much pleased - [?] went with me - I think
