The Common Wine was produced at the rate of about 1,000 imp. Galls per acre in 1840, and at upwards of 1,200 imp. Galls per acre in 1841. That which has been kept of the former would sell now 4/- to 5/- per gall in the neighbourhood -- the extent of demand not known.
