where I stayed a day & night. The scenery all along is beautiful, typically Northern French, especially Wimereux, a pretty seaside place, where No. 2 Aust. General Hosp. is now stationed. Reached Calais at 12-30 p.m. & detrained for H.S. "Cambrian". I cannot help thinking here of the different circumstances under which I made the trip to England before – from Le Havre, Calais, judging by my limited view, is after the style of most French towns & quite different from what I expected it to be. A rough voyage across the channel, and not a few seasick, a corker of a wind. Reached Dover at 5 p.m. & anchored in the "Harbour". The
