After lunch at 2-30 p.m., paraded in full order & marched off to the Station, after saying good-bye to Legge, to meet again perhaps in Australia. A full detail of the military muddle ensued, it transpired that no notice having been given to the R.T.O. (that mighty man in entraining troops) the evening previous, we could not be sent on until to-morrow & after marching round & round in all our equipment like so many lost sheep, found a place to leave our equipment & separated to again report at 8-30 a.m. to-morrow.
