Bay BC
In the bay between B & C the land rises mostly with a gradual ascent from the beach, which is steep to; On the South part of the bay is a closed brackish lagoon forming a swampy island, about a Mile inland the Water is fresh and free from Weeds but stagnant; the Soil round is light and Sandy with patches of brush Swamp, the trees small and open; in the centre of the bay cliffs of Ochery earth mixed with Iron Stone rise from the beach, and near there are cliffs of yellow and white sand stone; Off Point C. found five fathoms close to the rocks but its exposure to the prevailing SW Winds, must render it unsafe to heave vessels down here.
The bay between CD. is partly sandy & partly rocky; the land rises by an abrupt slope to a green terrace the only trees here are the She Oaks which are small and thinly scattered. Point D projects in a bluff of
