The time employed on this survey was 10 days, In so short a time it was impossible to accomplish a minutely correct survey of so extensive a place, many parts of the shore were inaccessible to the boats, and in others the straightness of the Coast line, would not admit of measurement by triangles on shore, and neither the time nor weather would allow me to use station boats for that purpose.

The parts regularly surveyed are from the East point of the entrance, to the point O, and the inlet to the NW.

What depth of water there may be without the launches track (towards the middle of the port) was not ascertained.
