Statement of Charges against Joseph Short Esqr Commander of His Majesty's Ship Porpoise, and Papers relative thereto by William Bligh Esqr Captain of the said Ship.

By Commidsion (A) from my Lords Commidsioners of the Admiralty dated 13th November 1805 I was appointed Captain of his Majesty's Store Ship Porpoise, and Captain Joseph Short to command her in my absence subject to my controul [control].

Permission had been previously granted to take my Passage in the Lady Sinclair Armed Store Ship, to accompany His Majesty's Ship Porpoise to Port Jackson.

I arrived at Portsmouth the 24th, and on the 27th I received an Order (B) dated
