Baudin I think he told me it was from Timor.  The Taxus is from Ash Island grows to be a large Tree the wood not unlike the Pine.  I have requested the Captain to keep the Box dry as they are not packed in paper but loose.  I think many of the plants here preserve best in that way.  I hope before this reaches you that every thing is Settled with the French and to the Honor of the British Nation.  I beg to offer my respects to Lady & Miss Banks & Compliments to Mr. Dryander.  I am
