and instead of waiting an opportunity of delivering his dispatch ordered them to return - so that hence we are now waiting the Ship Buffalo being repaired, to make another attempt, which I sincerely hope will succeed; but small Crafts in this season of the year, never can answer, and in the end will become more expensive than if proper Vessels were hired for the purpose.
I hope you received the three Boxes sent by the Greenwich Whaler, and the Letter with a small parcell sent by His Majestys Ship Calcutta - with this conveyance I have not any thing worth your acceptance - but I hope when a little settled at my New Government, to give you fresh proofs of my most grateful acknowledgment for the good, and many friendly attentions you have at all times confered on me.
