a Clergyman for Paramata, for the Hawksbury, Port Dalrymple, and Norfolk Island if the present one who does duty for Mr. Marsden is not appointed. 

It will be of great importance that the Clergymen who may be appointed should be married Men. 

With respect to the education of Youth, four respectable Men are wanted for the benefit of the rising generation, those also should be married men; and a Man & his Wife are necessary for the orphan School.  At present we are doing all in our power to educate the Children having nearly four hundred of them under tuition in the different parts of the Colony.

Governor King has been detained until now by a want of grain to make Bread for the Voyage, & it has not been irksome to him as it has given him time to arange & finish his accounts.  Every marked attention has been shown to him by me, and he has been better in his health than he has experienced for many Years and I hope will
