The Accounts from the out Settlements are tolerably favorable. I sent a Vessel lately to the Derwent & one which came from Port Dalrymple brought up Col. Paterson on account of an order from the Duke of York to send home Cox the Pay Master. This has been an extra ordinary transaction, and I fear Cox has circumvented poor Col. Paterson who will have much Vexation by the improper conduct of Cox. Marsden can unfold a deal of roguerry in the business .
Our Poor Friend King is very much worn down, but he has been made very happy by being relieved in the Command by me - he is now free of the gout and writes by this conveyance, sending all his dispatches to which I must refer until it comes to my turn to send complete documents .
