Sydney New South Wales

20th December 1804

Dear Sir

In addition to the Observations on the breed and increase of Sheep in this Colony sent by the Albion with the Specimens furnished by the Rev.d Samuel Marsden who as far as my Ideas go is the best practical Farmer in this Colony, I now take the liberty of transmitting a duplicate of those Observations and a Letter of his dated the 16th Instant which is accompanied by Three Fleeces and a Drawing sent under the care of Captain McAskill, and I respectfully request the favour of your laying the same before the Agricultural Society, should it meet the approbation of His Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies.  To this I shall only add that I have no other motive in thus intruding on you than the Sense I have of your anxious efforts to benefit this Colony, and if not attended with too much trouble Mr. Marsden will consider himself highly honoured by any Communication from the Society on the Subject.

I have the honor to be
Dear Sir
Your most obedient
humble Servant
