They were all titles of Osus and  Osiris, the Sun. The Deity Cnuph was sometimes expressed like a serpent with a human face at other times like a globe between two wings; and two serpents proceeding from it below. Examples are to be found in Egypt, Persia and China. The Grecians added a rod, or Sceptre: and made it an emblem of peace. In America, they have a calumet, or sacred pipe: to which they tye two wings of a bird, and use it for a symbol of the same purport.

A serpent was also called Aub, Ob and Obus hence Orobus, analogous to  Oropus, Canopus as above: most of which were places denominated from this worship.  

The God of light was the same as the Deity of fire. It may be worth inquiring when there are any mineral streams, hot fountains, or baths, if they have not some of his titles in the composition of their names. For all waters, hot or cold, were sacred. The point to be observed is whether they seem to be compounded of Pur, Pyr, Vir; Sal or Sol: Asta, Esta, or Vesta: Ait; Ain-Ait, Ain-one - and the like.
