with a White Clay, a thin Strata of which is found in many places a few feet below the surface.  The Red Ochre is common likewise, & all the Stone over every considerable tract of Country seems to contain a large quantity of Iron. I have now mention'd the few remarks respecting the Natives, not noticed in the very short stay you made in this Country, wch. I hope to be well acquainted before I have the honor of again desiring that my Compts may be made acceptable to the Ladys of your family & of assuring you, Sir, that I am with great esteem
