Station and it was taken up by the train to the Dump. Mr. Boyling & Jim Lawless accompanied it. This is the first time that we have sent rations to the trenches by train.
There are some spasmodic bombardments to night by our artillery.
Thursday Nov. 15. 1917. 1200
4th year of the war & 104th day or 1200 days in all.
Early this morning Byrns who was boarded at Blequin & found unfit was sent away this morning with some half dozen others including Harry Jaugernaut D. Company's Cook, & D. White, the M.P.
To day Fred Barclay paraded sick and was sent into Hospital suffering from rupture. He did not know he had it until he saw the lump at the bath.
Morrison was sent back to the Brigade today. He originally came from the Brigade as a batman to Colin Smith. He is now a driver.

The weather continues fine. There was a heavy bombardment all night, which increased to drum fire of great intensity in the morning and continued long after daylight.
I received a letter from T. Douglas of Dookie College dated Sept. 9. 1917.
Saturday Nov. 17. 1917. 1202.
Cold and foggy this morning.The Germans are within range of Venice and have crossed the Piave River. There is scarcely any gun fire this morning. There was intermittent bombardment during the night.
