Left Colombo on night of 4-11-1918 at 10 p.m. Took on board, Potatoes, fruit, meat, coal and water. A big roll on, ship very light.

Recieved news by wireless that the armistice was signed. No excitement on board, just read in a casual sort of way.

16-11-1918
Troops on board all fitted with new clothing. Weather very windy, sea rough.

17-11-1918, Sunday
Arrived at Freemantle at 2 a.m. Ship quarantined, some cases of Spanish Infleunza on board. Very rough last night. Sent a telegram home.

18-11-1918, Monday
The West Australians went ashore to quarantine at 11-30 a.m. We moved out from Freemantle at 3-30 p.m. Sea rough 1,874 miles to Melbourne.
