Reached port 5-30 p.m., Port Said. Scores of boats laid up here, a few sunk outside port, masts and spars sticking out of water.
13-10-1918
Sailed again at 1 p.m. Weather very hot. The troops for India disembark this morning. Arrived at Kantarah 7 a.m.
14-10-1918, Kantarah
All sick taken on shore this morning. British troops going ashore. Extraordinary big camp and dumps here, thousands of niggers working here. We also land here. 400 feet of steel rope twisted around propeller blades; Divers working on it. Disembarked at 5 p.m. Entrained and moved off at 8.45 p.m.

In dirty, lousy, open trucks. Arrived at Suez. Moved into rest camp. The troops counted the boat out.

Entertained by a concert party. The whiz bangs. Australian Light horse.
