Training Battl all day A good deal of Rain
Monday 15th (St Swithens day)
Went on Parade as usual, But an Officer took about 20 of us to see the Draft go through a Platoon in atack according to a new idea The Platoon only had about 40 men 2 sections of 6 men & 2 N.C.O with rifles 2 L. Gun teams of 9 men & 1 N.C.O The L.G. work on the Flank & cover the Rifle mens advance & visa verse. Smoke Bombs were used but did not seem to be a great success. It was quite an interesting show & hard work for the men in it This is St Whitins Day
