29th. Saturday.
Stayed all day in support trench we made & felt very much knocked up. Slept most of day.
Platoon strength now 15. Coy., about 60 strong. Fritz shelled our support & reserve lines much during night. 1st line geting no fire at all.
30th. Sunday.
Spent all day in the same place only duties to carry our own rations from kitchens, Sausage Gully. 2 Casualties since night. 2 Cpls of my platoon. 35 planes of ours flew over toward Fritz's lines together this evening, about sunset & dense smoke was seen rising from rear of his platoons.
