Tues 16th April 1918
in the North.

Enemy has taken Bailleul & Ravelsberg Heights & fighting for Wychaate. At 10 pm our 5th Div opened heavy fire on enemy positions. On duty 9 pm to 3 am. (Cook, Barkill & I)

Wed 17th
At Blangy Tronville. Came off duty 3 am. Raining. Since 4 am enemy has been shelling Villers Bretonneux & the rest of our front with gas. This has continued all day & our casualities been very heavy from it.
