Jan 22nd 1918
Left Sutton Viny on Draft. Arrived Southampton 1PM.
Embarked about 6 & got of again & marched about 2 miles to Rest Camp. Issued with 3 Blankes & put in a fair night. Has been allmost like Summer the last few days. There is a lot of fun in going on Draft –
What, without asking, hither hurried Whence? And, without asking, Whither hurried hence?
Of course there is a good deal of Drinking & any sort of travel
