The turks attack our camp another stunt am listening post tonight at 12 o'clock hear firing commencing all along the surrounding ridge (the turks having made their long delayed attack at 3 o'clock we left this part to depart to the outpost then away.
Friday 4
patrolled a couple of miles out the attack by this time had begun in earnest. I looked for my lot but could not find them I rode along the line [indecipherable] and picked them up at about 8 o'clock and [indecipherable] about a mile our casualities were light.
