Then with the water left, which must be highly flavoured as their faces are always well coated with mustard oil which is not exactly sweet, they rinse their mouth and wash their teeth which as usual with niggers are splendidly kept perfect. At other times they wash their feet first, and then the hands, usually before meals, to which they all sit in a circle and eat out of one dish with the fingers.

The Mahommedans say their prayers before dinner which are very lengthy and involve a good deal of kow towing.
