<p>[Page 77]</p><p>FRIDAY 23RD NOVEMBER 1917<br />Being on guard wrote to Lance as things consequently were quiet. Fine &amp; moonlight evening so after coming off guard I went into the village of Sailly about 20 minutes walk &amp; had a feed of eggs &amp; chips. Returned about 8 &amp; went to bed 8.30. Had a letter from Aunt Ben.</p>
