We were so glad to get your letter to Hazel on Friday last. Am sending you socks & smokes – word has come through that you are all so well cared for in France that you don't want such Xmas tins as went to Egypt. One paper said that over £30,000 had been cabled to England from Australia to soldiers on leave since Xmas. That sounds well doesn't it?
