<p class="page" id="a2364057">[Page 57]</p><p>back to the hospital and repeated the same thing with the other body. afterwards we marched through the streets of Woolwich with the band on our way to the camp home again and pretty tired in time for tea for we had a good afternoons marching. but everyone of the boys done it willingly and well. for they were determined to give two mates who fought with them at Galliplo and far from home and relatives a decent burial in a strange land. And on the following Saturday I had a pass from 9 A.M. till midnight to proceed to London to get my pay Book which was at Headquarters Horseferry Rd and whilst there drew 10/-. it was a grand morning and the ride from Abbywood to Westminster London was beautiful on top of a bus which took an hour.</p>
