That was on sat 22nd Jan 16 bound for Inverness right up the North of Scotland. We had a railway warrant up to there but broke the journey at perth a little over 300 mile from London reaching there at 9.30 same evening nearly 12 hours in the train during which time came through some very pretty country and large towns such as Rugby, Motherfield stirling Preston and in parts towards evening there were inches of snow on the ground and very cold.
