<p class="page" id="a2364025">[Page 25]</p><p>dray drive at the expense of a Mr. Chernside late of Werribee, Vic. who takes great interest in the wounded and sick Australians in this Hospital we started at 10.00 in the morning drove to the large mansion of Chernsides where we had lunch and a drop of beer the first I had for 4 months, then drove down through the principle streets of Southampton its a great place afterwards drove to a cafe where a dinner was ready for us, then went to a Music Hall to pictures drove back had tea and then back to Netley we had a Splendid day the people in the streets gave us a great reception from everywhere, afterwards myself and three mates, Bentley and Wells and Gilmour visited a small village</p>
