arrest him too for all he cared. Hop like a stupid owl sat down near the Head's tent waiting for orders - to go on the route march evidently. Charlie Williams however soon settled that & we coaxed him back to our tent & told him to keep quiet or he would get us all into the march.
At 2pm the drums & musical instruments played Tiddley Winks & other high class music, whilst the whole camp – bar us – left for the route march that returned at almost midnight. All the tents of the Signal School were old condemned ones &were marked for repairs so we chose the best whilst they were absent & replaced ours with it, the new one being absolutely perfect. We then "shook" a table & made ourselves comfortable thus in the tent
