Having so done, you are to make the best of your way to the Coast of New Holland running down the said Coast from 130o [degrees] of East Longitude to Basses Straits (putting if you shall find it necessary into George the 3ds Harbour for Refreshments, previous to your commencing the Survey) and in case on your arrival on the Coast, the Weather should be stormy & unfavorable, you are to stand off shore during the bad Weather, & advancing towards it when the weather shall be moderate, use your best endeavours to discover such Harbours as may be in those parts; and in case you should discover any creek or opening likely to lead to an inland Sea or Strait, you are at liberty either to examine it or not, as you shall judge it most expedient, until a more favorable opportunity shall
