2 January ??   _ This morning some black_
?? made their appearance among them was
?? our friend Mr Dennis - They brought ?? a
?? having been at the wool shed and that
the Black fellows had safely [delivered?] the letters
to Mr Dennis. They also made us understand
that Mr Turnbull & Brown and other white  
fellows were ? tomorrow with ?
and plenty of sheep and our missing mules. We ??
found ?? then they had again  diceived  
us. for Mr J & [B?] returned in the afternoon having
heard nothing of the mules _ Today we had [our?]
dish of ?? as a change for ??
the ?? of the Blacks with their lively cheerful
?? playful was quite a relief to our ?? ??
and ?? stay at this place - Mr Mann
?? very ?? specimens if the [Guana?] or  
?? - they measured 5 feet - Termometer
midnight 70 - sunrise 64 10 A.M. in sun - 90 -  
from noon till half past 4 P.M. 92 in shade
Mr Turnball states that a ?????
?? of our having begun ?? by the Blacks
