I am under much difficulty with respect to Sending home my dispatches having no particular person to whose care I can entrust them, but the Master of the Ship Rose.  The friends about me are so few, I cannot dispense with their Services

I herewith transmit the State and condition of His Majesty's Ship Porpoise, on the 30th of July and this instant. and under the fullest confidence that I shall have every relief sent to me.
