Sir, This society, which was formed amongst other things for collecting all that is obtainable concerning the Aboriginees, solicits your assistance in making a collection of the Native Names of places with their meanings or the reason why the blacks gave such names to several localities (see example).* No Doubt some of the old residents in your district will be able to assist you.
