On leaving N.SW unit was formed hurriedly and nobody worried whether one was a Horseman or otherwise. Same thing occurred in other states. Unit was formed at three days notice as Mounted Ambulance for Camel Corps & expected to sail in a week. However after Breakfast the order was given to fall out all who could ride.
