crates of dressed poultry were brought on for the officers mess. it made me feel sorry I had refused that commission now. (I refer to the time I was offered one just before I woke up).

The ladies came down again with more fruit just before we left. By 8 o'clock we were well out at sea again.

The difference here and Australia regarding the coastline is very marked. It slopes right down to the water with few beaches
