Several chaps threw them hot pennies and when they scrambled for them they'd put the hose down (to cool the penny of course) However the coons took it as a joke.

I threw one into a nigger fruit dealers basket which was all upset in the rush. There were squashed oranges & bananas everywhere and even pineapples, crushed with their bare feet. This provided plenty of amusement though I must admit that it landed there owing to my bad
