Thursday 5th
Very calm, and hot in the morning, though it came up a bit rough about 10 am. Day mostly taken up with writing letters and cleaning of uniforms for we expect to reach Durban tomorrow morning early.

One chap with us who is always letting his tongue get mixed wrote that the trip had been rather "monoperlus" and the rich tucker had given him "digestion", though at times there weren't enough 'taters in the stoo' and the "corfee
