trees are all laid out in rows like an orchard, though closer. At one of the stops we fed some wild ? pheasants with breadcrumbs.
About 3.30pm we arrived at Wilton where we got out and were told that we'd have to march 5½ miles and we had the nest part of a hundredweight to carry on our backs besides our kit bags, which however we were allowed to leave.
Wilton is another old & interesting town, though
