not drawing as much water, tried to dash across to get in before us was quickly brought to a halt by a few shots across her bows from the fort.

We entered the harbour to an anchorage which was close to "HMS Highflyer" the boat which sank the "Wilhelm der Grosse".

All day long we had great fun watching the niggers diving for money and trouser buttons too, without knowing it. It is wonderful to watch them
