remark that we were 'all a very well setup lot with no weeds'

On landing in our lines at 5 pm when it was pitch dark we were told to pack our kit any how as we were moving. We had to move into the next camp where at last we are to stay till leaving for France. Several chaps were kept on fatigue work till 1.30 am.

Tuesday 21st
Fell in for parade at 8 am drilled till 12.30, a couple of hours each at physical drill, and bayonet fighting.
