- King Parrot -

This Bird is only Remarkable for the richness  of its Plumage, from which, and its being of a longer size than the other Parrotts of this Country. I imagine it takes its name. The Female of which a specimen is given, differs from the Male, in having a green head.

It is Remarkable of these Birds, that they are three years in obtaining their full plumage, the first year they are all Green, the second their Breast becomes Red and the Third they are complete agreeable to the Draw-ings.
