close to the "Askold" and straight out N.80°W. to sea. The "Hampshire" steamed out on our other flank (Starbd). As we passed the "Askold" we all stood to attention & gave them three cheers, which they returned. We also done same to "Hampshire", which dipped her ensign in return. Good Bye Ceylon, we saw last of it about 3 P.M. A small contingent from Ceylon is now included with us. Had some Ceylon oranges on dinner table today - queer fruit - skin quite green - usual size but very pithy and tasteless. Boxing not held tonight owing to order prohibiting the showing of naked lights. Had Boxing @ 4 P.M.

Wednesday 18/11/14

No boxing Cpl Burns sick.

Heavy rain at about 1 A.M. had to go below into bunk to sleep. Courts Martial held all day.
