From Capt Kiddle of "Minataur" to G.O.C. N.Z.[E.?]F. "Wanganui" "I am ordered on another service. Very sorry to leave you and the convoy. Wish you the best of success when you land in France. Give the Germans a good shaking up. Good bye". A death on "Medic" buried at sea this morning.

Message received to say that the H.M.A.S. Sydney will rejoin as soon as she takes off German Prisoners & wounded. The message also confirms that Cocos Islands was the scene of the engagement. Another death on "Medic" all flags ½ mast. Burial @ 5 P.M.
